“Who are you, tony?” 

Oh! I'm so glad you asked. 
I'm an actor and coach living in Chicago. I help others get out of their own way to better deal with the inevitable (and really, really annoying) life stresses....Yes. That one that you're thinking of. I help with that.

I give you better ways of thinking about problems and feeling a little bit better with the way life is going. And I'm really adamant about the fact that "we are enough" - regardless of where we are in our lives and careers. 

 

“UM...why?” 

Because you're hurting right now. And you're probably at that point where "enough is enough and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired."  

How do I know that? Because I've spent a lot of time suffering myself. 

Five years ago I was waiting tables, stressed out to the max, and feeling depressed every day as I started my shift. I hated my situation. I didn't see a way out. I spent a lot of time crying. (Shut up. I cry sometimes...) 

So I get it. Life can be really freaking hard sometimes....

  • It's hard living as an artist and barely paying your bills.

  • It's hard seeing people you like (or, ahem, dislike) who are achieving the things you'd kill to be achieving yourself.

  • It sucks seeing so many of your friends happy and in relationships when you're single.

  • It's hard when life throws you not just one curveball - but FIVE curveballs.

  • It sometimes feels like there's no answer other than to "just keep suffering until I feel better."

And here's the worst part: You're really good at what you do and

you're actually a really wonderful person. 

 

“Like, I know that already. So why

aren't I successful?”

Because you got some work to do.... 

“WAIT, WHAT?!” 

Sorry. I'll clarify. 

We're not taught a lot of things regarding mental health or just "being happy." And it sucks. Because we really should. 

And while we can spend the rest of your day talking about why the school system has its challenges, I don't want to waste your time complaining when we should really be focusing on solutions. 

(Besides, I got plans tonight....) 

If you are going to be happier, trying to "just be more positive" isn't going to work.
